Gunnery Hall
Get up close to artillery that has played important roles in modern battles around the world. Get up close to artillery that has played important roles in modern battles around the world.
Gunnery Hall

The Gunnery Hall is packed with weapons and vehicles from the 20th Century: anti-aircraft, anti-tank, coastal defence, light and medium artillery, self propelled guns and missile launchers.

They come in all shapes and sizes - you can see how each has been designed to cope with a particular terrain, target, and military tactic, using the latest technology around at the time.

Each gun is accompanied by a fact panel with description, technical detail, the terrain and conflicts it was used in and the ammunition it fired. Braille gun names and flat outline reliefs are also provided.

Interactive screens play back video of the guns and gunners in action and reveal more artillery facts and figures. There are missions for you to complete too, including shooting down a bomber, matching gun with terrain and destroying a tank.
